Born and raised in Pennside, PA, she resided for the past 15 years in Foxfield at Naamans Creek, previously residing in Wyomissing, PA for over 50 years. Mary Ann was preceded in death by Dr. David A. Cope, whom she married in 1960. Mary Ann earned her RN degree at the Reading Hospital School of Nursing where she met David. Married for 46 years, they raised four children together, all enjoying Mary Ann's excellent cooking and baking. Mary Ann and Dave loved golfing and traveling with friends. Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime member of Bausman Memorial United Church of Christ in Wyomissing, PA. She was Assistant Secretary of the board of the Children's Home of Reading, and her most personally fulfilling volunteer position was organizing the CROP walk every year for the Greater Reading Council of Churches. She credited the EFM (Education for Ministry, Episcopal Church) course she took and the small group she was a part of for many years with deepening her relationship with God through prayer, journaling, and Bible study. Mary Ann is survived by four children; Kimberly A. Persons (Robert), Kevin D. Cope (Beth), Karen E. Cope-Scarfo, and Keary A. Cope (Lisa), and a brother, David Paul Reinsel (Lynn).
