Obituary of Helen Gwynn

Helen Gwynn, age 100, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her home.  Born in Eddystone, PA, she resided in Wilmington, DE for the past 54 years; previously residing in Linwood, PA.  Helen was a graduate of Eddystone High School, Class of 1939 and a member of the Church of the Ascension, Claymont, DE.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, maintaining her home and taking care of her family.  In addition to her parents, Anthony and Katherine (Taragovic) Vila, she is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Gwynn who passed in 2012; her great granddaughter, Ashley Frame who passed in 2018; and her four siblings.  Helen is survived by her son, William E. Gwynn, Jr. and her daughter, Jo Ann Parent, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.  Services and interment will be private.  Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Church of the Ascension, 3717 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE.
