Obituary of Lillie Sue Gluszek

Lillie Sue Gluszek, age 80, of Wilmington, DE passed away on October 26, 2021 at her home. Born in Dungannon, VA, she resided in Philadelphia, PA as a young girl where she attended John Bartram High School. She was a long time resident of Glen Mills before moving to Wilmington. Lillie Sue worked as an administration assistant with KV Excavating in Aston, PA. Lillie Sue was formally a member of St. Cornelius Catholic parish. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, and loved to travel. Lillie Sue loved music, especially country western, she played the stand up bass and piano. Lillie Sue was "Grandmom" to her family and to all the kids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Mary Kate Sweeney Castle, as well as her husband, Carl "Syd" Gluszek, who passed in 2017. Lillie Sue is survived by her children; Barbara Loughead, Cheryl (Chris) Shahadi, and Chris (Valerie) Gluszek, grandchildren; Stephanie (Tom) Ellis, Richard Kearney, Lisa and Matthew Enriquez, Dylan Papro, and Hunter Gellman, great grandchildren, Angelina, Mia, Lily, Carrie, Crimson, Mia and C.J. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 10 - 11 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association (www.lung.org).
