Obituary of Marilyn P. Ferguson

Marilyn Pondok Ferguson, beloved mother, sister, and Gram, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, after a very heroic battle with cancer at Chester County Hospital.  Marilyn was born on August 5, 1956 in Chester, PA to Mary Lazarchuk Pondok and Steven Pondok. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and then Cosmetology school. She spent her teens and early 20s working for Zeke Laxton at his gas station/garage where she learned all about cars and met her husband, Stephen Kenneth Ferguson. She worked for the Ramada Inn in Essington for 30 years and spent most of her working life juggling several jobs to provide for daughter, Stephanie. She was predeceased in life by both of her parents and her husband.  Marilyn was a very sentimental soul and cherished everything from scribbled little notes to her pets and the pets of her family members. She was a remarkable crafter and painter and if there was a way to do something, she would figure it out. She was extremely handy. Marilyn very much enjoyed spending time in Brigantine, NJ with her sister, Mary, and enjoyed long chats on the phone with her brother-in-law, Joseph Fusco. She was a very loving and supportive mother to her daughter, Stephanie, she would remind Stephanie quite often that she was "the best thing she's ever done." She was very proud to be a Gram to her granddaughters, Taylor and Skylar, and always made sure to have a large sack of gifts for them on special occasions.  A visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060, followed by a funeral liturgy at 11AM. Interment will remain private. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
