Obituary of Diana Victoria Bradford

Diana V. Bradford, age 72, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on September 4, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Raised in Aston, PA, Diana recently moved to Wilmington, DE, previously residing in Chester County for the past 20 years. She was the daughter of Serifino "Samuel" and Italia "Ida" Savelloni Ferrarelli. She received two Doctorate degrees, one in Biblical Education and another in Counseling. Diana, at the age of 60, returned to higher education to complete her degree work. She was an elementary teacher and counselor for over 20+ years. Diana was an active member of the Concord Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and counseled on marriage, and faith. She loved learning about science, nature, and history. She and her husband traveled to Israel so she could learn about specific plants and their medicinal properties. Diana loved cooking, especially Italian, and was known by her family, neighbors and friends as a "Gift Giver", always showering with small tokens. She is preceded in death by her father and most recently, her mother, Ida, who passed in 2021. Diana is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Alan S. Bradford, four children, Christina (Brian) Thibault, Jonathan (Sarah) Bradford, Danielle (Raymond) Peraria, and Andrea (Joshua) Barker; nine grandchildren, Eliana, Emma, Micah, Jackson, Avonleigh, Asher, Logan, Gracie, and Lucas, and her brother, Samuel (Jean) Ferrarelli. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10 AM-11 AM at the Concord Baptist Church, 2510 Marsh Rd, Wilmington, DE, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. The family is requesting that all guests wear masks under COVID precautions in the church. Interment will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 10 AM at Chester Bethel Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
