Obituary of Gerald Roccato

Gerald Roccato, age 84 of North Wilmington, DE, passed away on August 3, 2021 at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA. Born to Giovanni and Frances Roccato in Carbondale, PA, Gerald was raised in South Philadelphia, and was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. Gerald worked as a Contract Interpreter for the U.S. Federal Government for over 35 years before retiring. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching television and loved sports, especially baseball. He was an avid Phillies fan. In addition to his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Verna Zappala Roccato, his son, Michael Roccato, who passed in 2014, and his siblings; Angie Marshall, Theresa Scarlata, and Louis Roccato. He is survived by his son, Gerald A. Roccato, grandchildren, Tricia, Louis M., Anthony Steven, Jessica, and Sofia Roccato, and two great grandchildren; Julianno and Verna Roccato. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 12th from 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment, S.S.
