Obituary of Vincent A. Turco

Vincent "Jim" A. Turco, age 95 of Chadds Ford, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 24, 2021 at home. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, he resided for the past 5 years in Chadds Ford, PA, previously residing in Aston and Brookhaven, PA. A tailor, Jim worked at various tailor shops for over 40 years, afterwards working for the Defense Supply Logistics Agency in Philadelphia where he retired in 1994. Jim served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the Church of the Holy Child. He volunteered at Riddle Hospital for 12 years and enjoyed reading. Most of all Jim loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Luigi and Antoinette Tucci Turco, Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. Lalli Turco who passed in 2004, 7 siblings, Charles and Helen who passed as infants, Alexander, Carmella, Elizabeth, Louis and Frank. He is survived by his son, Louis A. Turco and his wife Michelle, 3 brothers, John, Salvatore and Ronald Turco, 2 grandchildren, Christina (Kevin) Franco and Michael (Gurpreet) Turco, 2 great granddaughters, Maria and Sofia Franco. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 9:00-10:15AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Mass, 11:00AM at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE.
