Obituary of Paul W. Davis

Paul W. Davis, age 74 of Newark, DE passed on June 23, 2021 at home. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, he resided for the past 53 years in Newark, DE. An electrician, Paul worked for Furness Electric Local Union 313- Wilmington for 30 years until retirement, prior working for City Electric. Paul served his country in the US National Guard as part of the MASH unit. Paul was a breeder of beagles; He bred his own field champions, and received the Breeder of the Year Award in 1995. Paul was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and this past year he received the National Beagling Brace Award. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, George and Kathryn Gilland Davis. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn "Jackie" Lakomski Davis, 2 children, Tracie (Douglas) Patrick and John Paul Davis, brother, Lee (Kathy) Davis, 4 grandchildren, Jonah Aiden Davis, Joanna Tichnell, Takoda and Shelby Patrick. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00AM.
