Obituary of Rose Marie Wertz

Rose Marie Wertz was a caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and the President of Wertz Motor Coaches, the oldest bus company in the Philadelphia area. Rose Marie left this world on May 28, 2021 after a long battle with ILD. Rose Marie, 80 years old from Greenville DE, was born to Andrew J. and Anastasia Ambrose Zosh in Centralia, PA. Raised in Chester, PA, Rose Marie graduated Notre Dame Moylan H.S. then married Richard Wertz and moved to Claymont DE where they successfully raised 4 children, Richard Jr, Karen, Debbie (Steve) Orleski and Denise (Dave) Saltman, while simultaneously guiding Wertz Motor Coaches for more than half of it's 100+ years in existence. Rose Marie was also devoted to her faith as an active member and Treasurer of the Marcus Hook Baptist Church. In her free time Rose Marie traveled to many places including the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. In addition to her parents, Rose Marie is preceded in death by her sister, Maryann Pimental. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Richard Wertz and siblings, Tom and Frank Zosh, and Nancy Stout, and one grandson, Benjamin Saltman. A viewing for Rose Marie Wertz will be held on Thursday June 3rd, 2021 from 9:30-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment follows at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 220 N DuPont Hwy, New Castle DE 19720. Donations to Gideon's International, Concord Baptist Church (Wilmington DE) or Stonybank Community Church (Glen Mills PA) were requested by Rose Marie before she passed.
