Obituary of Rose Marie Ozor

Rose M. (Helpa) Ozor passed away on Wednesday May 5, 2021, 9 days shy of her 97th birthday, at her home of 2 years in Glen Mills, PA.

Born and raised in Chester to Joseph and Anna (Miklasz) Helpa, Rose was devoted to her faith and was an active member of St Hedwig's Parish. Rose was a member of PNA (Polish National Alliance), PAHA (Polish American Historical Assoc.) and the PHA (Polish Home Assoc.). A talented cook and baker, Rose often shared her talents at church functions as well as cooking for the rectory and convent.

She was a talented seamstress and made many items for the church, including the infant of Prague outfits. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, singing in the church choir, and traveling with her husband of 58 years, John C. Ozor, who passed in 2007. Rose is also preceded in death by her son John J. in 1977, her daughter Rose Marie in 2018, her brothers; Frank M. "Hoople" and John J. "Clancy" Helpa.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Peter) Mulligan and her son, Robert Ozor; two grandchildren, Peter (Amy) Mulligan and Rachel Mulligan, and her great granddaughter, Hannah.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley PA as well as Saturday May 22,2021 from 10-10:45 AM at St Hedwig's Church, 2623 W. 4th St., Chester, PA, followed by Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment, Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood PA.
