Obituary of Arthur F. Brant Jr.

Arthur F. "Bud" Brant Jr., age 87 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on April 25th, 2021 at home surrounded buy his loving family. Raised in Linwood, PA, Bud resided for the past 12 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Bethel Twp. and Claymont, DE. Bud retired from Sun Oil Refinery in Marcus Hook after 40 years of service. Devoted to his faith, Bud was a Charter Member of the Chichester Wesleyan Church in Upper Chichester. He also played on the church softball team. As a teenager, Bud was a nationwide roller skating champion. He enjoyed going to the Delaware beaches and loved to travel. In addition to his parents, Arthur F. Sr. and Isabelle Simpson Brant, Bud is preceded in death by his wife, Alida D. Boyles Brant who passed in 2018, 2 sons, Arthur F. "Buddy" Brant III and Darryl T. Brant, a grandson, Jessie Brant and a brother, Robert Brant. He is survived by his daughter, Dora V. (Dean) Mencer, a daughter-in-law, Karen Brant, 4 grandchildren, Amanda Mencer, Justin Mencer, Rachel (Matthew) Mitchell and Heather Brant, 2 great grandchildren, Meadow and Emma, sister in law and her husband, Clara and Donald Rash, numerous loving nieces and nephews and he also was a foster parent to several children. A visitation will be held on Thursday, 10:30AM-12:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 12:00PM.
