Obituary of Norma Jean Johnston
Jean Johnston passed away on April 21, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born and raised in Chester, PA, Jean was a longtime resident of Brookhaven, PA. After graduating from Chester High School, she worked as a secretary at Sun Ship and took time to raise her children. She went on to work as a Court Crier for the Delaware County Courthouse in Media, PA. Jean was an active and devoted member of Our Lady of Charity Catholic Church in Brookhaven, PA. In her free time, Jean volunteered as a Judge of Elections in Brookhaven, and enjoyed knitting Christmas stockings for family and friends, and baking with her grandchildren. She loved spending the holidays with her grandchildren, especially Christmas time. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nora Belle Hanley Holman, and her husband, Allan Johnston. She is survived by four children, Lynn (George) Hale, Robert (Rosemary) Johnston, David Johnston, and Keith (Debbie) Johnston, fifteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 25th from 12:30-2:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 2:00PM.
