Obituary of Linda Lee Hury Blum
Linda Lee Hury Blum, age 73, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2021, at her home in Garnet Valley, PA. Born in Chester, PA, to parents John and Margaret "Peg" Hury, Linda grew up in Ridley Park, and later in her life moved to Garnet Valley, PA.
Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, George Henry Blum Sr, her two step-sons; George Blum Jr (Jeremy K. Fountain) and Lewis C. Blum (Jeannine), two granddaughters; Taylor and Riley, her only sibling, Nancy Malk, her aunt, Helen Elliot, and her cousin, MaryAnn Ivanowicz.
Linda earned an Associate's degree at Neumann University in Aston, PA, and entered her nursing career as an LPN. For nearly 25 years, Linda worked as a nurse, originally at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park and later at various convalescence homes.
Among the many things Linda loved, in addition to her family, included her numerous adopted pets, close friends met through her nursing career, social circles including the Red Hat Society, her fellowship at Siloam Methodist Church, and the many friends she made along the way. Linda loved being a "second grandmom" to Ashley, Alex, and Erica, the children of her wonderful neighbors and dear friends, Melissa "Missy" and Rich Jones.
A viewing for family and friends will take place on Monday, April 19th, from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a short funeral service at 11:30AM.
