Obituary of Lila Faye Holt

Lila Faye Holt, age 88 of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on April 7, 2021 at Maris Grove. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri in the midst of the Great Depression, Lila grew up in lean times, but was determined to make a better life for herself and her family. She met the love of her life, Gerald "Jerry" Holt, at the movie theater in her home town, and they married in Sacramento California. The two moved frequently, living in Syracuse, New York, Huntsville, Alabama, Ormond Beach, Florida, Acton, Massachusetts, and Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania, before retiring to Sarasota, Florida. Lila earned her nursing degree while in Daytona Beach, and worked nights in the ICU at Halifax Hospital, while simultaneously raising three children during the day. A dedicated nurse for over twenty years, Lila earned the respect of fellow healthcare providers and patients alike. Lila's children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. She cherished the time spent with them and their long walks on the powder white sand beaches of Siesta Key. Lila was a wonderful and loving mother and Nana who gave her all to her family. They will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. She is survived by her husband, Gerald, her children, Curtis (Victoria) Holt, Gail (Joseph) Grande, Scott (Jacqueline) Holt, eight grandchildren, Christopher, Lauren, Matthew, David, Rachel, Mark, Samuel, and Stephen, and three great grandchildren, Emily, Thomas, and Adley.
