Obituary of Robert P. Glover

Robert P. "Bob" Glover, age 92 of Boothwyn, PA passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Media, PA. Born in Chester, PA to Leon and Sarah Dodds Glover, Bob has resided in Boothwyn for the past 22 years, previously residing in Claymont, DE, Upper Chichester, PA and Linwood, PA. Bob was a US Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Prior to retirement, he was a crane operator at Congoleum in Trainer, PA for many years and previously worked at General Motors in Wilmington, DE. Bob was a "Fighting Irish" Notre Dame football fan and Yankees baseball fan. He enjoyed taking walks and being around people, and was known for always lending a helping hand. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John "Jack" Glover; his three sisters, Dorothy Whitby, Dolores Olson and Rita Socash. Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary E. Glover; his daughter, Debbie Hightower; his two granddaughters, Kimberly (Samuel) Barksdale and Maryann (Christopher) Wallace; three great grandsons, Joshua Barksdale, Jonathan Barksdale and Ryan Wallace. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 9,2021, from 12noon - 1 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 1 PM.
