Obituary of Michael Federowicz

Michael Federowicz, age 96 of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly on March 6, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.  Born in Palmerton, PA, he resided in Wilmington since 1991, previously residing in Chester, PA.  A conductor, Michael worked for the Reading - Conrail Railroad for 38 years retiring in 1985.  Michael attended Chester High School and afterwards served in the Navy during WWII. He was proud to be a Veteran and serve his country. Michael was devoted to his catholic faith attending church on a regular basis. He also was known for his praying of the rosary daily. Mike enjoyed music, especially big bands. He enjoyed his family and friends as well as socializing and his sense of humor. In addition to his parents, William and Pauline Kichula Federowicz, Michael is preceded in death by his wife,  Catherine Neary Federowicz who passed in 2012 after 66 years of marriage, son, James M. Federowicz who passed in 2009, grandson, Kevin Crampton, 3 siblings, Charles Federowicz, Mary Lavin and Joseph Federowicz and a very close friend, Lois Fischer.  He is survived by 2 children, Michael (Brenda) Federowicz Jr. and Judith (Charles) Crampton, 5 grandchildren, Paul (Kristen) Federowicz, Mark (Kelly) Federowicz, Jaimee Crampton, Helen Henshaw and Brenda Ellmore, sister, Stella Keefe, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, 9-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE.
