Obituary of Barbara Ann Taraska

Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Taraska, age 79 of Springfield, PA passed away suddenly on March 5, 2021 at home. Bobbie was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, the only child of the late Paul and Mary Ezzie Marano. A resident of Springfield for over 50 years, she was a member of St. Kevin's Church in Springfield, PA. Bobbie was a homemaker devoted to her family. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking, crafts, reading, and being around friends and family. She was known for her good nature, infectious smile, hearty laugh, and big hugs. She will be missed dearly by her family & friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 children, Martin Taraska and Barbara Ann Taraska. Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Martin J. Taraska, her beloved friend, Judy (Evio) Panichi, whom she always considered as a daughter, and Judy's children Julie (Bo) Christini and Evio, her aunt, Doris Stewart, as well as numerous loving cousins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10th, from 9:15- 10:15AM at St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment, S.S.
