Obituary of Elizabeth Marie Powers

Elizabeth Marie Powers, age 89 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on February 2, 2021 surrounded by her family. Born to John and Elizabeth Murtha Brennan in Philadelphia, PA. She was raised in Southwest Philly and was a long time resident of Garnet Valley, PA. Elizabeth was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crafting, playing Bocci ball, Rumicube, and talking on the phone. Elizabeth had a great sense of humor and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas Powers, and her son, Tommy Powers. She is survived by her children, Cathy Gribble, Michael (Cathy) Powers, Kevin (Crissy) Powers, Beth Street, Joanne (Walt) Goode, Brian (Jayne) Powers, Patti (Jon) Powers-Gould, and Keith (Debbie) Powers, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday February 12, 2021, 10:30AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Garnet Valley, PA. Friends and family may call from 9:30-10:30AM. Interment, S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to Delaware County S.P.C.A. (providenceac.org).
