Obituary of Elaine D. Malczon

Elaine D. Malczon, age 68 of Boothwyn, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Philadelphia to John and Dorothy (Troiano) Markisz, she resided for the past 23 years in Boothwyn, previously residing in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. Elaine was a 1970 graduate of Nazareth Academy High School. Elaine was employed as an Office Manager where she worked for Dr. James Bonner at St. Agnes Medical Center for many years. In addition, she also was a Medical Transcriptionist at the Grossinger Neuropain Specialist Office in Eddystone.  Elaine retired in 2018.  Elaine was passionate about donating blood as she donated numerous times per year to the American Red Cross. Elaine loved to travel with her spouse of 50 years, she loved fashion, had a creative eye, enjoyed painting, watching the soap opera General Hospital and was known as a hard worker all of her life. She also was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and Eagles - she preferred listening to the games on the radio with Harry Kalas and Merrill Reese calling the games. She was devoted to her home and family and was the “Hostess with the Mostess”.  An amazing wife, mother & friend, her smile would light up the room. She is survived by her husband, Francis T. Malczon; her three children, Jeffrey (Laura) Malczon, Gregory (Liz) Malczon and Lauren (Michael) Meacham; her two granddaughters, Caitlin and Abby Malczon and her grand doodle, Mollie. She will be sadly missed by all including many cousins and her close-knit circle of friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that all continue to wear a mask, wash hands and socially distance; donations in Elaine's memory may be made via giving blood or monetarily to the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org) or to your local food bank.  A celebration of life for Elaine will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
