Obituary of Sylvia M. Meloni

Sylvia M. Meloni, age 87, of Glen Mills, PA died on January 11, 2021. She was born in the Bronx, NY to Nicholas and Rose Perrucci Serafini. Sylvia has resided in Glen Mills, PA for 20 years, previously residing in Thornton, PA and Wilmington, DE. A homemaker, Sylvia volunteered for over 40 years at the DuPont Children's Hospital where she received the "Hall of Fame Recognition" award in 2019. Devoted to her catholic faith, she was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Sylvia worked part time for the Century 21 Real Estate Store and also her daughter's law office in Media, PA. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, Art Meloni who died in 2001, and a sister, Loretta Giuliano. She is survived by her 3 children, Douglas (Maria) Meloni, Karen (Steven) Sibbers and Kathryn A. Meloni, 6 grandchildren, Gina (Rob) Kaufman, Michael (Amanda) Meloni, Steven Meloni, and Jessica, Joshua and Sarah Crampsey, and 3 great grandchildren, Gianna Kaufman, Alessandra & Luca Meloni. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, 6-8pm at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA and also on Friday at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA from 11:00-11:45AM followed by a 12 noon mass. Interment will remain private. Donations in her memory may be made to either St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the ALS Foundation (www.als.org).
