Obituary of Thomas R. Murray

Thomas R. Murray, Sr., age 92 of Aston, PA died on August 12, 2016 at home. Born and raised in Chester, PA, he resided for the past 60 years in Aston, PA. After serving in the Navy during WWII, he married his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Smith. Thomas enjoyed summers in Rohoboth Beach where he loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Lillian Atkinson Murray and was the last of 10 children, James, John, Kenneth, Wilbur, Frances, Alice, Laura, Doris and Esther. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy E. Murray, sons, Thomas R. Murray, Jr & Timothy R. Murray and wife Stefanie, sister in law, Florence McClintock, grandchildren, Timothy & Violet Murray and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Tuesday, 11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA where friends may call from 10-11 AM. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimers Assn. (Alz.org).
