Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Hufnal

Anne Elizabeth Hufnal (nee) Bruner, age 87, of Boothwyn, PA passed away on December 27, 2020, at Autumn Lake Heath Care in Ocean View, New Jersey. Born and raised in Prospect Park, PA, she later resided in the Ogden Park section of Upper Chichester for 60 years. Mrs. Hufnal graduated from Prospect Park High School in 1952, and started working as a secretary at Westinghouse Corporation. Married to her beloved husband, Albert C. Hufnal, on December 27, 1952, she left Westinghouse to join Albert after he was drafted and stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky, where their first child Anne Marie was born. They later settled in Ogden Park where they raised their five children. Anne devoted her life to raising her children and was involved in the church bowling team as well as the Women of Ogden Park Civic Group. She and her husband were long-time and dedicated members of First Baptist Church of Ogden. Thanks to her meticulous budgeting and household management, she and Albert managed to secure a beach home in Wildwood, New Jersey, where the family enjoyed many summers and family vacations. This later became her primary residence so as to be near her three daughters in her later years. Anne & Albert were avid Eagles fans in addition to enjoying flea markets and garage sales, where they collected dolls and toys; but, her main source of joy was always her family. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her kindness, sincerity, and unruffled demeanor. As a breast cancer survivor, she was known for her strength, courage, and determination in all aspects of life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert C. Hufnal in 2014, as well as her parents, Frances R. and E. Fritz Bruner, her beloved aunt and uncle, Adelaide and Bart Rees, and her brother, Fritz Richard Bruner, as well as her son-in-law, Stanley Oliver. She is survived by her five children, Anne Marie Oliver, Joseph E. (Laura) Hufnal, Elizabeth Hufnal Satterfield, Kathryn A. (Joseph) Martino, and Albert Matthew (Jennifer) Hufnal and ten grandchildren, as well as three great granddaughters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday afternoon, January 2, 2021, from 1:30-3PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 3PM. Interment will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
