Obituary of Jean M. Seaman

Jean Margaret Seaman (Cullum), age 90 of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on December 15, 2020. Born in Upland, PA, Jean was the loving wife of the late Harry Robert Seaman. Jean and Harry raised six children in Chester, PA where they resided for over 30 years.

In 1980, Jean and Harry moved to Upper Chichester Twp., PA where they resided for 13 years before moving to Cape May Court House, NJ in 1993 to be with their very close friends. Jean and Harry moved back to their Delco roots in 2004 to Garnet Valley, PA.

Jean is survived by her children: Sandra Restaneo-Huff (Darryl Huff), Bonnie Figurell (the late Terry Figurell), the late (Harry "Butch" Seaman), Sally Roccio (the late Michael Roccio), Danny Seaman (Donna) and James Seaman.

Jean is survived by 9 grandchildren: Melissa Restaneo-Quaife, Angela Pagliotti-Roccio, Frank Restaneo, Jacques Restaneo. Sarah Roccio, Marc Seaman, Michael Roccio, Christian Seaman and Justin Seaman. Jean is also survived by her 17 great grandchildren.

Jean worked at Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Media, PA for over 30 years as a Nursing Assistant. Jean also assisted in various Ladies Auxiliary for her kid's basketball & baseball leagues. After leaving Fair Acres, Jean took care of three different women who needed her wonderful assistance until her retirement in 1993.

Jean enjoyed her very close family and friends for many years at home, camping and going to the NJ beaches. Later, Jean & Harry enjoyed taking cruises and spending each Spring in SW Florida. Jean also enjoyed Florida trips each fall with her son's baseball teams and made sure everyone was fed breakfast while overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

Every Christmas Eve, it was open house at the Seaman residence where all family and friends were welcome to have a great time and enjoy Jean's turkey, stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes. Her famous ham & cabbage dish was also a big hit for all.

Jean was an extremely kind, gentle, caring, devoted and loving woman who enjoyed being with her family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed having all of the family and friends over and cooking for pool parties each summer in Upper Chichester and lake parties in Cape May Court House, NJ. She was always there for each and every one of us and never spoke a bad word about anyone. Jean was truly a Saint and will be sadly missed by anyone who knew her.

Services will be private. A "Celebration of Life" with family & friends will be held in the summer.
