Obituary of Gary A. Samuels

Gary A. Samuels, 82, of Wilmington, DE died on July 26, 2016 at Brandywine Hospital. Born and raised in Ohio, he then resided over 50 years in Wilmington. Gary had a long career in law as a patent attorney for Dupont, W.L. Gore, and Hercules. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Miami University of Oxford, OH, and later received a master's degree in chemistry and his law degree from Ohio State. He was a member of the Silverside Church of DE. He loved sports and travel, often traveling to college football games and other sporting events around the world. Gary is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Ines Samuels, and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Julia Sumner Samuels, sons, Steven (Colleen) Samuels and Jeffrey Holmes, sister, Kay Samuels, and 2 grandsons, Chandler and Austin Samuels. Visitation: Friday morning from 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at Pagano at 11:00am. Interment is private.
