Obituary of Robert Edward Post
Robert "Bob" Edward Post, 84, entered into the presence of the Lord on December 7, 2020 after succumbing to his long term battle with renal failure.
Bob was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. His spirit is carried on by Elizabeth "Betty" Post nee Plourde, his loving and devoted wife of 60 glorious years, his 6 children: Kathy (Greg), Mark (Nadhia), Anne (Rex), John (Donna), Tricia (Kevin), and Michael (Carrie). Grandpa will be missed by his 12 grandchildren: Patrick (Kori), Tina (Win), Andrew (Sara), Kaitlin, Mat, Jessica, Melina, Joe, Megan, Cassidy, Grace, and Luke as well as his 3 great grandchildren Aiden, Landon, and Lucas. Also survived by his sister Mary Anne Jones, brother Michael Post, nieces and nephews. Bob is now reunited with his parents Edward and Marion (McKiernan) Post, his brother Edward John, and son Edward Matthew. Bob had an extended family of relatives and friends from every walk of life while living in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and for the past 34 years in Pennsylvania.
A graduate of Sacred Heart High School and Mount St. Mary's University, Bob was a man of unshakable faith, conviction, integrity, and honor. During his eight decades of life, he immersed himself in a number of different job titles, hobbies, and passions while also devoting himself to being a phenomenal grandfather. He was an accomplished salesman and district manager for Scott Paper Company for over 25 years and most recently with Accommodation Mollen. He pride himself on his close relationships with customers and always strived to exceed their expectations. He was a die-hard fan of the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants, and passed along that unique mix of fandom to his entire family. After moving to Pennsylvania, Bob spent every weekend on the golf course at Radley Run Country Club. A man of great faith, Bob cherished his time at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Chadds Ford, PA. He loved serving others in the church and volunteered his time to ensure the sacrament was received, families found their seats, and needy parishioners were helped.
In his waning days, Bob saw himself as an extension of his family's legacy and wanted to ensure that stories of the past, and his family's rich history, were passed on to the next generations that proceed him. Dad (Grandpa), don't worry. We'll take it from here. You can rest now.
