Obituary of Andrew Dean Hamilton

Andrew Dean Hamilton, age 49 of Wilmington, Delaware transitioned peacefully at home on November 2, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born & raised in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Andrew also resided in Pittsburgh, PA, Canada, and Puerto Rico. A graduate of the University of The West Indies, Mona Campus, where he was widely known as 'Ting-A-Ling,' Andrew's astute leadership qualities, sporting prowess on the basketball and volleyball courts in addition with his jocular nature, especially his pretty boy smile made him respected, revered and loved. He was also a graduate from Capella University, receiving his master’s degree in Computer Science. An entrepreneur by nature, Andrew owned and operated his own computer consulting company, ADH Consulting. An avid sports fan with a passion for tennis, basketball, volleyball, and watching ESPN Sports Center.
He enjoyed hosting parties and grilling on the BBQ; and was the resident barber for the Live to Lime Crew. Andrew over the years earned himself the nickname, "The Best Best Man" among friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Nina Powell Hamilton, daughter, Gabby Hamilton, mother, Anita Williams, two brothers, Darren Hamilton and Travis Grant, grandmother, Herma Bell-Rennie and numerous family, friends, nieces, nephews and godchildren. Ting-A-Ling, will also be sadly missed by the Manz of Chancellor Hall who will raise a key in his memory. Andrew Dean's personality buzzed with both current and voltage, providing a state of brilliant light on all those he encountered. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, his 50th birthday, from 10am-12pm at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA; the family requests festive colors to be worn to reflect his personality.
