Obituary of John Koukoulis

John "KoKo" Koukoulis, age 79, of Claymont, DE passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Wilmington Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, he resided in Claymont, DE for most of his life. John retired from the Port of Wilmington where he was a Plant Operator. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason of the Oriental Lodge #27 A&FM. He was also a Past Exalted Ruler at the Elks Lodge #307 of Wilmington, DE. John had a love for golf and was known as the Titan of the Turf. He had a record 13 "Hole in Ones" with 2 of those on Par 4's. His passion for golf was known throughout the "Port of Wilmington". He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. "Bobbi" Faries Koukoulis who passed in 2009; his daughter, Susan Gregg; his granddaughter, Jennifer Hughes, and his grandson, Shawn Gregg. John is survived by his son, John Koukoulis Young; his stepson, Leonard Stanwell III and his wife Dawn; his stepdaughter, Nadine McWhite and her partner, Sharon Campbell; his grandchildren, Leonard Stanwell IV, Layla Cox, and Kelly Schneider; his sister, Mary Ann Ferretti; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and his good friends, Stacy Hahn and Barbara Manning. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th from 10-11 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM.
