Obituary of Matilde Munoz

Matilde Munoz, age 86 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on October 9, 2020 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Matilde was born in Xalepa, Vera Cruz, Mexico to Isaac Musiate and Delfina Afifi Musiate. A resident of Bethel Twp., PA for over 24 years, she previously resided in Trainer, PA. Matilde worked in sales at Macy's in the Jewelry Department at the Springfield Mall. She previously was employed by Boeing Computer Services and in her early years, Wilkinson Electronics in Trainer, PA. Matilde enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking. She was devoted to her faith and an active member of the Church of the Holy Child in Wilmington, DE where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed time spent with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 siblings; Juan, Emilio, and Afif Musiate. Matilde is survived by her three loving children; Matty (Dan) Genthert, Bob (Kelle) Munoz, and Sylvia (Rob) Lanham, 9 grandchildren; Lauryn (Shawn) Lehocky, Timothy Wakeling, Kristyn Genthert, Julia, Jared and Gavin Munoz, Kimberly, Michael and Daniel Lanham, a step-grandson, Danny Genthert Jr., and a great granddaughter, Avery Lehocky. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00AM at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE.
