Obituary of Rose Marie Woodard
Rose Marie Woodard, age 93, of Middletown, DE passed away at Naamans Creek Country Manor on September 22, 2020. She was born to Charles C. "Charles Home Run Johnson" and Mary G. Navin Johnson in Linwood, PA and raised in Twin Oaks, PA. Rose Marie has resided with her daughter in Middletown, DE, she previously resided in Lutheran Knolls for many years and the Ogden section of Upper Chichester for over 40 years. Rose Marie graduated from Immaculate Heart High School. After high school, she worked as the secretary for Viscose for 33 years, later at Gilpin Hall as an Activities Director for 5 years and at Naamans Creek Country Manor also as an Activities Director. She was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Linwood, PA. Rose Marie enjoyed teaching ceramics out of her home in Ogden. In her earlier years, she enjoyed working with senior citizens, painting, and doing various arts and crafts. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill D. "Icy" Woodard who died in 2003, her seven siblings; Charles Johnson, Kathleen Gallo, Raymond Johnson, Anna Kranyak, Rita Marcella Johnson, Thomas Johnson, and Walter Johnson. Rose is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Holly Galbraith) Woodard, and her two grandchildren, Samuel and Gabriel Woodard. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, 10-11 am at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060 followed by a funeral liturgy at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to LaMancha Animal Rescue (www.lamanchaanimalrescue.org).
