Obituary of William J. "Bill" DuBois, Jr.

William "Bill" J. DuBois Jr., age 82 of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on September 1, 2020 at home. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bill resided for the past 20 years in the Fox Hill Farms Community in Glen Mills, previously residing in Marple Twp. for 10 years and Lansdowne for 30 years. Bill worked as an event planner, setting up exhibits at various conventions for 30 years retiring in 2000. He graduated from West Catholic High School class of 1955 and served in the Army during peacetime. Bill was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Knight of Columbus De La Salle council 590 and the Lions Club. He enjoyed reading, fishing, boating, eating and drinking wine, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was well loved and will be sadly missed by all. In addition to his parents, William J. Sr. and Dolores Obert DuBois, Bill is preceded in death by his son, Brett DuBois who passed in 2004, daughter in law, Eileen DuBois and brother, Robert DuBois. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlene B. Ridgway DuBois, 5 children, Renee (Bernie) Rosica, William DuBois, Ken (Linda) DuBois, Geralyn (Ken) Lazer and Holly DuBois, 2 siblings, Dianne (James) Lennon and John (Judy) DuBois, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, 9:15-10:15AM at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA followed by a 10:30AM funeral mass. Interment will be private.
