Obituary of Albert A. Aiello

Albert A. Aiello, 87 of Wilmington, DE died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 30, 2016 at Christiana Hospital. Born to the late James and Mary Rose Santagada Aiello, Albert was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE. He was a veteran serving in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. Albert had a career working as a Jeweler and Gemologist and in his earlier years he served as a police officer in Wilmington. He was an active member of the Church of the Holy Child where he was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He belonged to the American Legion, and his hobbies included tooling leather & collecting antiques, including trains and fans. Albert had a love of music playing the Mandolin & drums. In addition to his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his sister, Cecelia Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Szulborski Aiello, 3 daughters, Susan Aiello, Barbara Lunsford and Patricia Baker-Ryan, 5 grandchildren, Ted, Brienne, Kilynn, Kara and Rachel, 3 great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alexander and Carter also numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Tuesday from 10:00AM-11:00AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA.
