Obituary of Katrina Anna Manko

Katrina Anna Manko, 68, passed away April 19, 2020 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. She was born Sunday, February 17, 1952 at Crozer Hospital, Chester, PA. The daughter of Frank and Isabella Herbus. Katrina married Harry Manko on September 6, 1975 in Brookhaven, PA. Katrina grew up in Highland Gardens. At William Penn Elementary School, she me her life long best friend, Linda Hess. It was a friendship that comes along once in a lifetime. After getting married, Katrina took jobs working at group homes for the disabled. Katrina developed a passion for helping people after working with the less fortunate. She continued this work until the last days of her life. Katrina inspired her coworkers and made many friends by working hard. Katrina was creative, she enjoyed working on projects around the house. She was often busy chasing down members of her family tree and talking with her friends about family. Katrina is also a patent holder and a recognized inventor by the U.S. Patent Office. Katrina was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Manko, mother, Isabella Herbus, and brother, Tom Herbus. She is survived by her father, Frank Herbus, children; Jason Michael Manko and Katrina Marie Manko, grandchildren; Isabella and Kayliana, and siblings; Gerald Herbus, Lorraine Herbus, and Stanley Herbus.
