Obituary of Marilyn L. Ross

Marilyn L. Ross, age 84 of Garnet Valley, PA passed on April 18, 2020 at Rosewood Gardens Rehab and Nursing Center. Born in Norfolk, NE, she resided over 30 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Marcus Hook and Linwood, PA. Marilyn graduated from Chichester High School and was a Real Estate Investor. She was a lifelong member of Marcus Hook Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and a majorette in high school and Chichester Alumni Band into her 70's. Marilyn was a part of the marching band & a majorette in events such as the 1996 Olympics, 1997 Thanksgiving Day Parade & the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City amongst others. She enjoyed crocheting and had a talent for music and writing and was a self taught piano and organ player. Loved her 'EAGLES' team, Member of Town Watch, Volunteer Food Bank, help raise grand kids, had a green thumb. In addition to her father, Gerald Green and her mother, Virginia Young Green Bibb, Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Ross, 2 children, Jerene Ann Jones and Richard "Tink" Ross, 4 siblings, Sherry Morelli, Carol Casseday, Gerald Green, Jr. and Thomas Green. She is survived by 4 generations starting with her 4 children, Linda Jones (Bob) Ferguson, Debra Jones Lerner, Harold William (Angela ) Jones and Steven (Lisa) Ross, 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren.
