Obituary of Samuel H. Ross

Samuel H. Ross, age 92 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on April 16, 2020 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Sam was born to the late Samuel & Mary Yerkes Ross in Oxford, PA. He has resided in Upper Chichester for 11 years previously residing in Longmont, CO, North Carolina, Arizona and Broomall, PA where his children were raised. He served in the Army Air Corp. occupation after WWII. Sam received his degree in Commerce & Finance from Penn State University. It was during his college years where he met his wife, Jean. Together they raised 3 children. Sam was employed by as a Bookkeeper & Computer Manager for 36 years by Cadalytic Construction, a subsidiary for Sun Oil. He retired in 1989. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star. He was involved with his children during their younger years in their school sports, Boy Scouts and participated in the coaching of their high school Ice Hockey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Dorothy Kirk & Betty Farrell. He is survived by wife of 68 years, Jean Ferry Ross, 2 sons, Samuel (Michelle) Ross Jr., and William (Jacquelyn) Ross, a daughter, Kathleen (Ted) Beaumont, 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Shattuck, Rebecca (Chris) Braster, Teela (Scott) Decker, Evan Ross, Dylan Ross & Savannah (Tom) Czajkowski, 5 great grandchildren, Jacqueline & Kara Jean Braster, Nixon & Cassidy Decker & Landon Czajkowski.
