Stanley R. Alexander, age 86 of Broomall, PA died on February 13, 2020 at Lankenau Hospital. Born to the late Joseph D. and Mollie Kohn Alexander in Philadelphia, he resided most of his life in Broomall, previously residing in Overbrook Park, PA. Stan was the owner and operator of Stan's Hardware, later known as Stan & Son's General Contracting in Upper Darby. In his early years, he was employed by Gilbert Inc., construction of freight elevators. He served in the Air Force on the Flight Line as Crew Chief during the Korean Conflict. Stan was quite skilled & enjoyed working with his hands and making custom cabinetry, and was known for fixing anything. He also enjoyed flying remote controlled planes. In addition to his parents, Stan is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Irving Alexander and Raymond Alexander and his former wife, Lillian Alexander. He is survived by his wife, Charlene M. Brandau Alexander, 3 children, Natalie (Timothy) Billings, Howard (Annamarie) Alexander and Joseph (Roseann) Alexander, 3 step children, John, Joseph and Kevin Mullen, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services and interment will remain private.
