Obituary of Walter W. Holmes

Walter W. Holmes, age 69 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on February 3, 2020 at his residence. Born to Walter E. and Anna Marie Dodson Holmes in Chester, PA, he resided the past 25 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Chester Heights, PA. Walter attended Garnet Valley High School and graduated from Johnstown Trade School. He was the owner and operator of his own business, Walt Holmes Towing. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his 3 children; Ryan (Deirdre) Holmes, Rachele Holmes, and Sarah Holmes, former wife, Regina Stoltzfus, 2 sisters; Mary Anne Fahnestock and Betty Jean Jasper, 2 grandchildren; Kayla and Charlotte Holmes. A Celebration of life with family and friends will be held on March 21st beginning at 4pm at 138 Kirk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060.  Donations in Walt's memory may be made to Penn Hospice (pennmedicine.org).
