Obituary of Gloria A. Phillips

Gloria A. Phillips, age 77, of Marcus Hook, PA passed away on January 31, 2020 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Chester, PA, Gloria has been a lifelong resident of Marcus Hook, PA. She graduated from Eddystone High School, class of 1960. Gloria was employed by Acme Markets for many years retiring in 2003. She worked at the Woodlyn Acme and the Granite Run Acme where she was a checker. Gloria looked forward to the Kentucky Derby each year. She was also an avid Phillies fan. She had a passion for airplanes and enjoyed air shows, writing poems and she had an artistic ability where she enjoyed painting. In addition to her parents, John and Gladys Lamplugh, Gloria is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Phillips who died in 1994, a daughter who died at birth, Elizabeth Phillips, and 4 siblings, James Brown, Nancy Orlando, Priscilla Russell and Curtis Brown. Gloria is survived by a son, Benjamin Phillips and his wife Cyndi, a brother, John Lamplugh and his wife Dee, 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Phillips, Nicholas Devlin, Christopher Phillips Jr., and Savannah Phillips, a great grandson, Jack Giampetro as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday, from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Crozer Keystone Hospice, 200 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA 19064.
