Obituary of Walter L. Thomas

Walter L. Thomas, age 97 of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on January 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia, Walter resided in the Fox Hills Farm section of Glen Mills, PA. He retired from RCA in New Jersey, previously employed by the Navy Yard in Philadelphia. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII. Walter was a member of the Shekinah-Fernwood Masonic Lodge in Philadelphia. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Thomas, 2 brothers, William & Larry Thomas and a sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Eleanore Stark Thomas, 1 son, William Thomas and wife Judith and 2 grandsons, Michael Thomas and Richard Troutman. Services will be held privately and interment will also be held privately in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, the National Wildlife Federation or the Arbor Day Foundation.
