Obituary of Thomas J. Daly

Thomas "Tom" J. Daly, age 85 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on January 1, 2020 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and raised in SW Philadelphia, Tom resided for the past 8 years in Upper Chichester, PA, previously residing in Dunedin, Fl for 20 years and Aston, PA for 32 years. Tom graduated form West Catholic High School class of 1953 and earned his bachelors degree from La Salle University in 1963. A salesman, Tom worked for Bayer Pharmaceuticals for 18 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and spending time in his Sea Isle City, NJ summer home. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Agnes Ryan Daly, a son, Thomas E. Daly who passed in 2018, 3 siblings: Mary Zawalski, Joseph Daly and Agnes "Numa" Farnan. Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernadette McGrath Daly, 4 children, Denise (Brian) Osifat, Michael Daly, Christine (Ron) Piselli and Joseph Daly, 6 grandchildren, Brian (Laura) Osifat, Leslie (Jon) Sutter, Michael Piselli, Ryan (Heidi Wahl) Piselli, Maria Daly and Conlan Daly, 4 great grandchildren, Brian and Weston Osifat, Jonathan and Juliette Sutter. A visitation will be held on Monday, 9-10:15AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment will be held privately at St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to West Catholic Alumni Association, P.O. Box 889, Ardmore, PA 19003.
