Obituary of Edith Louise Ray

Edith "Louise" L. Ray, age 88 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away peacefully on December 11, 2019 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Morton, PA, she resided for the past 63 years in Upper Chichester. A homemaker, Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ogden where in her earlier years she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the prayer chain, the Awana bible club, Upper Chichester Seniors Citizens Club, and the Coffee Break at Restoration Church. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, crypto grams, cooking and caring for her home. In addition to her parents, George and Lydia Owens Slate, Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Ray who passed in 1992, infant son, Larry Ray and sister, Elizabeth Purdy. She is survived by 3 sons, George (Lisa) Ray, Bruce (Patricia) Ray and Kenneth Ray, 2 grandchildren, Rebecca and Kara Ray. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
