Obituary of Krystyna G Blonarowycz

Krystyna Blonarowycz (nee Golas), age 74 of Boothwyn, PA passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Germany to the late Kazimierz and Helena (Sajko) Golas and raised in Poland. Prior to moving to Boothwyn in 1975, she resided in Chester, PA. She worked for many years in the dietary department at Sacred Heart Hospital. In addition to feeding the patients, Krystyna prepared special lunches and dinners for the clergy and sisters. After leaving the hospital, she became the proprietor of Kyrstyna's Polish Bakery in Wilmington, DE, which she successfully ran for more than 30 years, retiring in 2009. Krystyna was known as an accomplished baker and cook taking pride in her ability to prepare delectable Polish foods for family and friends. Her roles as matriarch of her family and entrepreneur made her a strong and independent woman who many people admired. She was an extremely generous person with many individuals and organizations benefiting from her philanthropy. She was devoted to her faith and was a member of the former Holy Ghost parish now Holy Myrrh-Bearers Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Aleksander R. Blonarowycz who passed in 2007. Krystyna is survived by her three sons, Daniel Blonarowycz with whom she resided, Robert (Joanne) Blonarowcyz, and Roman (Kim) Blonarowcyz; her four grandchildren, Tristan, Sarah, Larissa, and Danielle, and her two sisters, Janina Sobon and Zofia Deuter. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019, 9:30 -10:30 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley PA immediately followed by panachyda service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
