Obituary of Christina M. Ternove

Christina M. Ternove, age 87 of Media, PA passed away peacefully on October 31, 2019 at Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Wilmington, DE, she has resided in Media, PA since 1987, previously residing in Chester, PA. Christina graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, class of 1949. She owned and operated the Chestnut Flower Shoppe in Chester for many years until her retirement in 1996. Christina was a kind and generous person who was devoted to her church and faith, attending Christ Church in Ridley Park. She was an exceptional baker. She loved dogs, taking rides to Lancaster, Longwood Gardens, cooking and eating and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, John P. and Clara Rice Wilkinson, Christina is predeceased by her husband, Henry Ternove who died in 1992 and 3 siblings; John P. Wilkinson, Thomas R. Wilkinson, and Claire W. Rodgers. She is survived by her 3 children; Patricia M. Ternove, Henry C. (Carol) Ternove, and Denise S. Ternove, 3 grandchildren; Wendy (Craig) Nearey, H. Christopher Ternove, and Adrian Vermillion, 2 great grandchildren; Elizabeth Brown and Grant Henry Nearey, many nieces and nephews as well as 3 granddogs. She will be sadly missed by her family A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 9:30-10:30AM at the Christ Church Episcopal, 104 Nevin St, Ridley Park, PA followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Donations in Christina's memory may be made to the St. Joseph House (www.thejosephhouse.org/donate).
