Obituary of Jeffrey W. Smith

Jeffrey W. Smith, age 58 of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 11, 2019 at his home. Born in West Chester, PA and raised in Glen Mills, Pa, he resided for the past 26 years in West Chester. A loader operator, Jeff was employed for Hanson Materials in Glen Mills, PA for over 30 years. He attended West Chester East High School and was a past Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief of the Concordville Fire Co. Jeff enjoyed playing softball in the Del Val League at one time, he also enjoyed bowling, hunting, the mountains, camping, the Philadelphia Eagles and riding his Harley. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. Sr. and Patricia Bortz Smith and a sister in law, Marcia Smith. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathryn Fry Smith, 2 daughters, Kari (Greg) Hoffman and Allyssa (Jeremiah) Mowday, a brother, Thomas H. Smith Jr. and 4 grandchildren, Riley, Liam, Jace and Josie. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, 9:30-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral services at 11AM. Interment, Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to the ECAA, Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association at (www.ecaware.org).
