Obituary of Wilbert A. Davis
Wilbert "Bip" A. Davis, 93 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away peacefully on September 21, 2019 at home around family. Born and raised in Bethel Twp., he resided most of his life in Bethel Township / Upper Chichester. Bip worked his way up to Foreman while working for Sun Oil, where he worked for 41 years eventually retiring in 1981/82.
He was a member of Siloam U.M. Church, Sun Oil Honor Club, Concord Masonic Lodge 625 F&AM, American Legion and the Pine Tree Rifleman Hunting Club. He was an avid Phillies fan and also enjoyed going to Delaware Park, especially enjoyed “breakfast and the casino” with his nephew “Dave” every Friday morning the last few years. He also enjoyed hunting in Potter County, fishing in the Outer Banks, NC and Potter County. He loved to drive up the CA coast when he went to visit his son and his wife, Thomas and Sally.
Bip served his country in the US Marine Corp during WWII, stationed in Phillipines and Main Land China,
In addition to his parents, Thomas W. and Mary Julian Davis, Bip is preceded by his wife, Jean E. Miles Davis who passed in 2018 and 15 siblings. He is survived by his 3 children, Marilyn Campbell, Thomas (Sally) Davis and William (Lillian) Davis, 3 grandchildren, Samantha Jean Davis, Bryant Thomas Davis and Heather Corinne Jimenez, 6 great grandchildren, Daniel, Christian, Aaliyah, Jax, Ava and Asher, also his furry friend, Pumpkin. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Masonic Services will begin at 11AM followed by a funeral service. Interment, Siloam U.M. Church Cemetery, Garnet Valley, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve for disabled veterans at (leekpreserve.org).
