Obituary of George A Arnholt Jr

George A. Arnholt Jr, age 79, of Boothwyn, PA passed away suddenly on September 10, 2019 at Crozer Chester Medical Center surrounded by his family. George was born to George A. and Mildred Glenn Arnholt in Philadelphia. He was raised in Ardmore, PA and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School. George resided for almost 50 years in Boothwyn, PA, previously residing in Drexel Hill. After high school, George received his Bachelors degree from Villanova University and his MBA from Dartmouth College. After retiring from Scott Paper after 32 years as a Director of Customer Financial Services, George returned to the workforce employed by Sheppard Enterprises, also as a Director of Customer Financial Services. He retired again in 2016. Devoted to his faith, he is a member of St. Joseph Church in Aston. He was also a founding member of St John Fisher Church in Boothwyn, PA. In his children's younger years, he coached their sports teams and was an actively involved parent. He was an avid Phillies, Eagles, and Villanova fan, and his favorite pastime was golf. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter, Jacqueline, who passed at birth, and a brother, James Arnholt. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maria Heron Arnholt, 4 children: JoAnn (Edward Carmien) Arnholt, G. David Arnholt, Susan (Robert Zembower) Arnholt, and Jennifer (Joseph) Davis; a brother, Rev. Joseph Arnholt, and grandchildren: Katie and Gillian Carmien, Charlie Arnholt, and Gabrielle, Sofia, and Joseph Davis. A viewing will take place on Monday, September 16, from 9:30-10:45AM at St. Joseph Church, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Media, PA.
