Obituary of Edward J. Miazza

Edward J. Miazza, age 78 of Aston, PA passed away on April 9, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Born to Edward P. and Stella H. Busz Miazza in Chester, PA, he resided for the past few years in Aston, PA, previously residing in Boothwyn, PA for 42 years. Ed was a proud graduate of Saint James High School where he earned the nickname Fast Eddie, as the first baseman who helped his team win the Catholic League Championship for 4 years straight. He continued his baseball career at Penn Military College which is now called Widener University. Ed was a controller for the N.V.F Co. for nearly 30 years before his retirement in 2008. Ed was also proud to serve his country in the United States Army. Ed loved barbequing on the grill and cooking meals in the kitchen. Ed loved spending time outside in his garden and working on his immaculate lawn on Woodstream Rd. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. His favorite thing to do though was to was spend time on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Mostly Ed loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Edward is preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his loving wife Marie Mckenna Miazza of 51 years, daughters; Heather (Stephen) DiMarino, Meghan (Shane) Suter, brother, Paul A. Miazza, Sister, Linda Miazza, brother in law, Larry McKenna and grandchildren; Olivia, Joey, and Sienna. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Chichester, PA. A viewing will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 where friends may call from 9:00 - 10:15 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, Pa. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
