Obituary of Rosanne D. Christinzio

Rosanne Christinzio on March 22, 2024, age 92, passed away peacefully at Shipley Living in Wilmington, DE.

Rosanne was the youngest daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Laino) Christinzio. She was the sister of the late Anthony Christinzio, Richard Christy, Frank Christinzio, John Christinzio, Marie Wileczek and Kathryn Christinzio. She is survived by her beloved niece Barbara Repice (Dr. Ronald) and many other nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Rosanne was an active member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and sang in the church choir. She was an honor student at West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School. In 1952 Rosanne began her 35 year career in the U.S. Department of Justice with the FBI as a Stenographer and later was promoted to Confidential Clerk Stenographer. She would often go on field assignments, assisting FBI Agents in surveillance. During her service with the FBI, Rosanne received numerous acknowledgments from J. Edgar Hoover for her exceptional work.

Rosanne was also recognized for outstanding service by the US Department of Justice Organized Crime and Racketeering Section for her work in the Philadelphia Strike Force from 1973 to 1976. In 1978 she received a certificate with honors in Paralegal Legal Studies specializing in Litigation from Widener College. Upon her August 20, 1986 retirement, Rosanne received acknowledgment of her 35 years of service from the Attorney General.

Among her hobbies, Rosanne was an avid bowler, made her own jewelry, and was a master at crochet and knitting. She loved cats, had a dry sense of humor, and enjoyed exercise and traveling. She and her family enjoyed summers in Beach Haven, NJ. 

Rosanne lived independently until age 90 when she moved into assisted living.

Visitation will be held Friday morning, April 19th, from 9:30 to 10:30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA (go to the old church located next to the new church) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
