Obituary of Vito DiCamillo

Vito D. DiCamillo, age 81, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on March 12, 2024 at his home peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born to Vincenzo and Victoria Manella DiCamillo in Chester, PA, he has resided in Garnet Valley for 16 years, previously residing in Aston for 32 years, where he raised his family. Vito graduated from St. James High School, Class of 1961 during which he broke the record for the longest kickoff return. He went on to receive his Associate's degree and worked as an electrician for Scott Paper Company for 39 years, retiring in 2005. Devoted to his faith, Vito was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 48 years. He enjoyed going to his vacation home in Ocean City, New Jersey, watching sports, reading, and in his earlier years, he enjoyed golfing. He was devoted to his family. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and especially loved the holidays and family gatherings. Vito was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be sadly missed. In addition to his parents, Vito is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ryleigh Paige DiCamillo, and siblings, Louis, Joseph, and Florence DiCamillo. He is the beloved husband of Barbara A. Wieczynski DiCamillo for 57 years, devoted father of Vito (Debra) DiCamillo, and Stephen (Kristen) DiCamillo, beloved Pop-pop of Bella, Brandon, Kendall, Sophie, and Kylie, and brother of Pete, Vincent DiCamillo, and Theresa DiCamillo Easton. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22 from 12:30-2:00PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Catholic funeral service at 2:00PM. Interment will be private. Donations in Vito's name may be made to either the Parkinsons Foundation (parkinson.org) or St. James Alumni Foundation (stjbulldogs.org/donations).
