Obituary of Charles Edward Conley

Charles Edward Conley, age 83, of Wilmington, DE passed away unexpectedly on January 24th, 2024 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born to Herschel and Liza Dingess Conley in Chapmanville, WV, he has been a longtime resident of Wilmington, DE. Charles worked at Boeing for over 43 years and was a member of the UAW, he worked his way up over the years and retired as a Tool Inspector. He coached youth baseball for Chester Youth and enjoyed camping and hunting. Most of all, Charles was a family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren as well as visiting his family in West Virginia. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by four siblings, David, Gary, Ronald, and Imogene Conley. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Marlene Conley, three children; David, Dana, and Charles Conley, Jr., brother, James (Kathy) Conley, sister, Sharon Crook, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1st from 10:00-11:00AM at Pagano Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
