Obituary of Barbara A. Kvech

Barbara A. Kvech, aged 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Boothwyn, PA, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. Barbara was born in Chester, PA, and was raised in Delaware County by her devoted parents, Thomas G. Kilpatrick and Marie E. Kilpatrick. She had been a cherished resident of Boothwyn for over four decades.

Barbara's journey in life was marked by dedication and education. She graduated from Penn Crest High School and went on to further her studies at Neumann College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Her commitment to excellence was evident throughout her career, spanning 15 years in finance at Hajoca, as well as serving the community through her work with the Upper Chichester Township before her retirement.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, needlepoint, and watching football.

On most days, you could find Barbara giving her full support of her beloved Philadelphia Eagles and was a lifelong football fan. She also had a deep appreciation for various kinds of music, with a special fondness for Maroon 5, Bon Jovi, Johnny Mathis, and Barbra Streisand.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas and Marie. She is survived by her three children: Amy Dorn and son-in-law Jerry Dorn, Tom Kvech and daughter-in-law Lisa Kvech, and Kevin Kvech and daughter-in-law Connie Kvech. In addition, she had nine grandchildren, Karlie, Cameron, Kyra, Kellen, Olivia, Julia, Jake, Jeremy, and Josh.

In celebration of Barbara's life, her family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a memorial service to honor her. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16 from 10-11AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Rd, Glen Mills, PA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment to follow directly after the service at St John's Episcopal Chuch Cemetery.
